When Disney announced last week that it was bringing Animal Crossing to the United States, many people in the U.S. were excited.
The game has been popular in the United Kingdom, but it has yet to gain much traction in the states.
While there are some similarities between the two franchises, Disney’s decision to bring the game to the U., which has had some success in the past, did not sit well with some fans.
“The game is already the #1 game in the world, and they’re just using the name for a marketing gimmick, so I don’t know what’s going to happen,” wrote a commenter on the site.
“It’s a shame that a brand is using the word Animal Crossing in its name to promote something that’s a completely different product, like a game or app.
You’d think a company would do the right thing by its customers.”
But the game’s developers, Happy Go Lucky, have decided to take a different approach to the situation.
“Disney’s Animal Crossing isn’t going to stop here,” wrote Happy Go Lonely on their blog.
“We’ll be doing something totally different with the title, Animal Crossing: Happy Go” The game will feature over 20 different animals from around the world that players can interact with.
It’s not clear if the game will include voice chat, but players can expect a number of new animals in the game.
The game will also be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and players can purchase the title through the Microsoft Store.
Happy Go Lost and Happy Go Wild are two other new titles coming to the Microsoft store this holiday season.
